Pinzon Bath Sheets

Bath sheet towels, bigger than big! Have you ever wondered where you could find some really big bath towels? You know the ones, the kind you can only get in a $200 a night hotel. The ones that seem as big as a bedspread.

Maybe you don't even know how big they should be based off of measurements alone, you just know that they need to be big! I'm talking a lot bigger than standard towels here.  Plus, wouldn't it be great if you could almost completely wrap your body in them at least a couple of times? What if I was to tell you, you can with a bath sheet towel!

Pinzon Luxury Cotton Bath Sheets Towels

First off, towels tend to be something that most people just hate to go and buy, much less spend a ton of money on them. I know I sure do. Much less to say going and buying them online somewhere since you really can't touch or feel them, something that most would want to do when purchasing something like a towel. I can tell you from personal experience though, these luxury cotton bath sheets by Pinzon are phenomenal. They are simply huge measuring a full 40x70. These thick, high-quality, comfy towels are ones that you would expect to find at some luxury spa or five star resort. Plus they are not that expensive at all. If you try to match this quality with a name brand you'd be spending close to $60-$70 per towel.

Check it out for yourself, go to some high-end furnishings store and just look around at their prices on high-quality towels, if you haven't done that in a while I bet you'll be surprised. That is unless you catch them on a Macy's once-a-year clearance sale or something. But these, you can get most anytime for a much cheaper price.

The only drawback to these very large towels is that if you are a head wrapper when leaving the shower, you won't be able to do that with these. You know what a head-wrapper is, after you dry off you wrap your hair up in the towel to dry. These are way to big and heavy for that.

Some important observations about the bath sheets:

Here's just some quick tips to remember if you do decide to take the plunge and get you some of these huge bath sheets towels:

  • A small inconvenience, these will make your dryers huge lint traps the first few times you wash them. Make sure to keep it clean. Plus, because they are so big, it takes a little bit to get them good and dry.
  • While washing any towels, you shouldn't use liquid fabric softeners (or even dryer sheets). Especially with a bath sheet since they are so large. If you do, it really hampers them from being able to collect the water from your body, instead it repels it from the towels. If you hear a lot of negative talk on these towels it's probably because they used a fabric softener. If you've got to use one, I'd stick with an already used dryer sheet, never a new one.
  • They are heavy! I would not be getting one of these if you are going to let a very young or very old person use them. They'll probably have a hard time. Save the smaller guest towels for them.

Tommy Hilfiger Bath Sheet

Constructed from 100% ringspun long cotton, these Tommy Hilfiger bath sheets should be super soft and absorbent. I don't have one personally but they looked really good. They are environmentally certified with low twist fibers. And also, for being a Tommy product, not that expensive and manufactured well with all four sides being hemmed and a decorative two inch dobby. These make perfect gifts for those all-out Tommy fans as they come in a range of twelve different colors to match up with Hilfiger bedding. The one quote that I did hear about them is that they are "100% Tommy quality". They do appear to be a little smaller than the Pinzon's above as they are only 35 inches wide by 70 inches long.

Egyptian Cotton Bath Sheets

This plush loop Barbara Barry Dream bath sheet is one of those name brand items that I was talking about above with the Pinzon's. Although expensive, it's still well worth it for the quality as it's a 100% Egyptian cotton bath sheet. This towel is made in Turkey out of Egyptian cotton, some of the finest in the world. At 500 grams per square, this zero-twist towel has been wovern for super absorbency and remarkable softness. Classically trimmed with herringbone and diamonds, it measures a robust 36x70 inches and can be color coordinated with rugs, mats, hand towels and wash cloths. It's easy to care for as well as it's machine washable. This one is definitely spa worthy.
